The platform model

South Pacific Energy Resources is not developing a single facility. It is developing a replicable infrastructure model — a proven platform that can be deployed across multiple sites, adapted to local waste stream profiles, and scaled to serve regional markets. The Bromley demonstration plant is designed to establish every element of that model: operational performance, emissions compliance, feedstock supply, commercial product pathways, social licence, and investor confidence. Once those foundations are established at Bromley, the platform is designed for regional rollout.

The regional opportunity

New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific face a common set of infrastructure challenges: growing volumes of difficult plastic waste, insufficient domestic processing capacity, increasing landfill costs, and rising demand for circular economy outcomes. No single facility can address this at regional scale. A network of facilities — strategically located, consistently designed, and operating to the same standards — can. South Pacific Energy Resources is building that network, starting in Christchurch.

Target markets for expansion

The expansion model targets locations with the right combination of feedstock availability, industrial energy demand, council or government support, land access, and community appetite for circular economy infrastructure. Priority markets include major New Zealand centres, Australian eastern seaboard cities, and Pacific Island nations with acute waste infrastructure challenges.

The expansion vision is the core of the investment proposition. The Bromley facility is the proof of concept. The return is generated as the model scales — across multiple facilities, multiple markets, and multiple revenue streams, operating within a consistent and proven infrastructure platform.
